Barrio Historico Residence
Project Overview
The client envisioned adding a rooftop deck to their current residence—enhancing livability while embracing the architectural character of the Barrio Historico neighborhood. The goal was to demonstrate the functionality and aesthetics of this future addition before making construction decisions.
Design Approach
I began by modeling the existing home in SketchUp using the client's original 2D floor plan and photos as a precise foundation. From there, I designed a rooftop deck that integrates seamlessly with the home’s massing and courtyard-focused layout. Importing the model into Twinmotion allowed us to study daylight, material atmosphere, and event flow—bridging the gap between concept and reality through immersive visual storytelling.
Skills & Software
