Habitat For Humanity Home

Project Overview

This residential project was developed for the Habitat for Humanity House Design Contest, focusing on an inclusive, cost-effective, and environmentally conscious home. The ask was for an 800 sq. ft. home, preferably with two bedrooms. The design adheres to Habitat’s strict guidelines, ensuring compliance with zoning, safety, and accessibility standards while delivering a warm and livable space for its future occupants.

Design Approach

The design process began with a deep review of Habitat’s requirements and an analysis of typical family needs. Emphasis was placed on efficient floor planning, logical circulation, and maximizing usable space without increasing construction costs. A blend of AutoCAD and SketchUp allowed for precise construction documentation alongside clear, engaging visual presentations for non-technical audiences.
